
Kate Royko
Legal Assistant
Kate is a recent Columbia College Chicago alum, where she majored in fiction writing. Kate also has experience in both technical writing and administrative work. In the past year, she has worked with Kurth Lampe Worldwide PR firm, further expanding her writing skills. During this time, Kate authored and reviewed multiple press releases for the 2020 Worldbuilders’ Geeks Doing Good showcase.
In 2010, Kate took a gap year abroad in the south of France with the Southern France Youth Institute. While studying French and literature, she also embraced the opportunity to engage in community service in Morocco. Kate studied abroad once more in Prague in 2013 exploring the works of Kafka and Dostoevsky as well as many other writers and philosophers. While in Prague, Kate visited Kafka’s home which inspired her to write The Steeple Chase, a complex narrative intertwining alternative voices to emulate Kafka’s style and prose. Since joining The Royko Group, she has excelled in copy editing and document review.
